In February, we have Ted Katsoris of Morrison Hershfield presenting on The Challenges of Winter Roofing.
Presentation Description:
There are many challenges that designers, contractors, owners and manufacturers face during the design and subsequent construction of a new roof or the replacement of an existing roof. This presentation will focus on the challenges of roofing during the winter which will include material/system limitations, scheduling/potential impact to the operations of the facility, owners' expectations, etc.
Ted Katsoris is a Principal and Senior Project Manager at Morrison Hershfield. Formally trained in the field of building science and project management, Ted has undertaken a wide variety of projects, ranging from building envelope repairs, mechanical upgrades, and asbestos removal to the redesign of large landscape areas. Ted's primary role at Morrison Hershfield is that of client management, project planning, team management, project co-ordination, and quality control. Ted is also responsible for mentorship of junior engineers and technicians.
Ted is also an active instructor with Construction Specifications Canada (CSC). Ted teaches night school to professionals involved in specification writing and administration of construction contracts.
